Raising the prana energy is the key to changing one's life perspective says Ravi Shankar

By Inner Hero News

On his YouTube channel, "EVERYTHING You Know About Manifesting Is WRONG! (Do This Instead)" this past February, Lewis Howes interviewed Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, who is recognized globally as a humanitarian, spiritual leader and peacemaker. He has touched the lives of more than 450 million people around the world, resolving conflicts through dialogue and self-awareness, teaching positive approaches to living including techniques to alleviate stress and anxiety, and by his example of selfless service.

Born in 1956 in Tamil Nadu, Southern India, Gurudev was a gifted child. By the age of four, he could recite the Bhagavad Gita, an ancient Sanskrit text. As a boy, he studied Vedic literature with a close associate of Mahatma Gandhi. Combining the ancient teachings of India with Western learning, he graduated from college at seventeen, receiving his degree in Physics.

During Howes' show, The School of Greatness, Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar explained a different approach to manifesting through the gift of giving to increase one's prana energy.

Prana is an energy that pulses through the body along a network of subtle body channels. Similar to the central nervous system, the channels of the subtle body, or nadis, connect form and mind and act as a conduit for energy, prana, according to Insight Timer blog entry.

He also explained how the Soul changes through vibrations, and it can change through time. He said the Soul enters different bodies in one lifetime.

Here are other ideas and concepts expressed in this video:

  • Be in the present, live there

  • Remember to breath

  • See life in a bigger perspective

  • Wake up and see that there are people who have more needs than you, what can you do for them instead of worrying about your own issues

  • People who are depressed, fearful or angry means someone has low prana energy; breathing, meditations and service to others helps to heal

  • We are just energy; it is important to create from this space

  • All of us are fountains of joy that sometimes must be unclogged

Ironically, he says those with more negative energy seem to be more active in society, as if they are busy bodies; however, sometimes these negative forces are necessary to break a system that is not working for everyone.
